Yesterday I spent the entire day working on a term paper in my hotel room. Bleary, after a day spent staring at my computer screen I wandered downstairs and spent some time talking with Raphael, who works the evening shift. He said "I know just what you need. Listen to this. This music is called Bachata. I know you'll like it because it makes you happy and you'll want to move." He found the song on his phone and played it for me. The song was a a cover of "Stand by Me" by Prince Royce. Raphael was right. The song did make me feel light and happy. The style of music is known as Bachata, made popular in the Dominican Republic.
